I am a diehard fan of Mitch and Team HBS, and I can hardly wait for Lamplighter League to be released into the wild.

I’ve wishlisted LL and will be preordered it just as soon as possible.

Are there any other fellow Lamplighters-in-waiting, eager and excited to pick up the challenge of recruiting from among the shadiest and worst of us (misfits and scoundrels) now that the best of us have failed to stop this latest cult of Big Bad Guys and Gals?

I am in a wait and see mode. This is not the type of game I would normally play.

Edit: I am glad I waited - Doomsday Clock !!! Seriously !!! :mad::eek:

I find it weird how a setting that's so specific feels already kinda, eh, be there, done that. Call of the Sea and The Excavation of Hob's Barrow but also games such as Curious Expeditions as not-giving-it-much-thought recent examples.

I also don't like these sorta ... clay-ish character looks so many modern games seem to love. So, dunno. Needs to actually show something to convince me I guess.

I'm in. This is pretty much right down my alley. Looking forward to seeing what combos we can create with the different slills of the characters.

Wishlisted and will probably preorder the deluxe edition a day or 2 out from release

Shadowrun-ish combat mixed with Indiana Jones, Lovecraft and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (the comics, not the movie), plus a narrative?

Definitely looking forward to this. :cool:

Well, I'm sure it'll be good. We know HBS can make good turn-based strategy, and we know they definitely can write good stories.

Going to follow this one with interest.

Call of the Sea is Mythos/Cthulhu - classically 20s/30s. This is pulp also classically 20s/30s but tonally very different; the good guys usually win in pulp. Those other games are very different types of game too by the sound of it, more puzzly less tactical combat. (I must check out Hob's Barrow) It's hardly an unused theme in media (though I can't think of a pulp as opposed to mythos/horror game) but just because we had Raiders of the Lost Arc doesn't mean The Mummy wasn't a great time.

I'm pretty neutral on the models. I think the exaggeration lets them have more character in a small model. At least they are not bouncing pixelated sprites, brrr.

My reservations are that I don't really care for stealth games especially real time and where I control multiple characters.

They'll want to get the release date right. When it's ready is the best release date, but they won't want to go head to head with BG3 or Starfield. If they can't hit a July/ early August released date, they might as well hold off for October/December.

This looks exactly like the kind of game I would play! I'm interested to see how it'll look over the months, but I'm not sure how the stealthy vs. loud approach would work. It's something they've advertised a bit, but I've never seen a tactical game do it all that well unless it was already stealth heavy in the first place.
