LAN Multiplayer problem

I have had this game for a while and recently a friend of mine also got it. We are now trying to play it multiplayer.

I own two computers which are connected by means of network cards. There are both TCP/IP and IPX/SPX protocols installed and all other multiplaye games seem to work over it. When we try playing EU, though, the other computer does not detect any hosted game. Any suggestions?

Try connecting with 'Internet' and manually enter the IP-address of the host. Should fix errors -- if not, have you assigned fixed IP numbers to your computers ?

My network has the added problem that one of the machines has 2 IP addresses: One for the lan and one for internet connection. This is required in order for me to be able to share the internet connection.

Does EU use Direct Play for it's network connections? One of my computers is using Directx 8 and the other 7.
