Any advice on dealing with it? I have a hard time finishing games for it, I have an Ottoman game I intend to finish relatively soon. My current game is as Vijayanagar (as suggested by a user here) , i've united all the areas of India I'm interested in, (got my accepted cultures as well as the Hindi and..Marathi? cultures) and have moved on to invade Zimbabwe just for something to do (took the pagan provinces and converted em to Hinduism) and now I dont know what to do. Any advice on this particular game and in general how to deal with the late game?
By the way if it helps its 1675 in my Vijayanagar game.

Vassalize England to really contradict history ^^
Or reinvade the muslims who tried to conquer the city of victory and take Mekkah instead...

I kinda like the "Invade England" Idea, mot entirely sure how I'd go about doing it though...I've been toying around with the Idea of trying to create a untied Thailand
under Indian rule, it would only give me one more culture..also i stayed Hindu instead of converting, was that a bad idea?

Hinduism has a greater research penalty (10% increased costs compared to 1% for Sunnis), increased stability costs per province of that faith, but higher conversion chance, improved morale (0.5) and a tax income bonus (5%), that's what I found in the religions file.
Overall, I'd say these things balance themselves out, though the tech penalty hurts, and talking about tech, you should probably change your tech group to Muslim (80% speed compared to 60%).

As for the invasion, since you've already taken Zimbabwe, you might want to continue taking colonies and work your way up to Europe.

how do i change my tech group? I was considering that but I'm not sure If i wanna go through the pain of having different cultured christians to convert, i believe Kongo and Dahomey are still pagan so i may invade them next.

You open the save's .eeg file with notepad or a program like it (you might select one of those as the program you'll use in the properties or whatever it's called in English section. Then, you use the search function to look up your country (just write the name and you'll find it, one of the benefits of 1.3 :)), once there you have to reach the bottom, where you should find something like this:

technology = {
land = { date = { day = 0 month = january year = 0 } level = 1 value = 2435.8628 }
naval = { date = { day = 0 month = january year = 0 } level = 1 value = 898.9807 }
stability = { date = { day = 0 month = january year = 0 } level = 3 value = 5.0496 }
trade = { date = { day = 0 month = january year = 0 } level = 2 value = 715.9877 }
infra = { date = { day = 0 month = january year = 0 } level = 2 value = 251.1615 }
group = "latin"

Change the group to "muslim".

ah ok. i think i'm still on 1.2 though. Besides i prefer to do things without editing files, besides my economy is currently large enough to almost keep up with the Europeans, should do even better once i can build weapon manufactories. Thanks anyway though. Also after checking again It seems La Chuan has been quite successful and has remained pagan and their land is quite tempting, but they're landlocked so I'd either have to go ahead through Thailand or through Tibet....i might just do that and toward the endgame try to take some land in Europe.

edit: also any advice on amphibious invasions?

annex all neighboring state religion provinces, and vassalize the rest to create a safe base of operations. Invest heavily in all tech areas to get access to all types of manufactories and mayors/judges. Build up a navy and take as many CoTs as possible, to be able to safely hold monopolies. Then aim for all pagan and gold provinces not yet taken. Become economic powerhouse. Battle with Europeans for control of colonies.
