Bughunting

Altered the triggers for the Ruthenian revolt response events for the Cossacl Hetmanate so that both ai and player version are actually different and don't both trigger. This could have been the cause of many CTDs as it happens in late 1429.

Found the numbering error between Iran monarchs and Danish leaders.
Added "Side with the Nobles" as the action name for the event Unhappiness Among the Peasantry, the absence of which may well have caused some of the CTDs.

Housekeeping

Ahmed experimented with, then updated, all files with events that have the command WAR WHICH = and added a six month cb command before that. Found that it removed the stab hit and there were fewer CTDs. Thanks.

Added our Alternative Reformation as an option that starts as active unless turned off. In this way players have a little more control and all the events can be captured and housed in one location. Not that the sequence is finished yet ...

Reduced the starting ducats of all of the old 'majors' most of which were 500+. Now all back down to 200 - 250.

Burgundy

Now begins in the alliance that includes Friesland, Gelre, Hessen and Oldenburg. This is to prevent them joining with Bavaria every time on January 2nd.

Denmark

Added reformation events, leaders and explorer events.

Epochal_Mutazelite

Updated the North African province conversion events to work for any non-Mutazelite religion, not just Traditional Islam.

Ethiopia

The conquest of Ethopia events now work for Mutazelite regions as well as Traditional Islam.

Kalmar

Updated all of the province-based events to account for additions to the Denmark, Norway and Sweden files, mostly new flags.

Mamelukes/Sharay

Altered the text and effects of the Fariz Dynasty event. No longer gives as many cores, and doesn't trigger if the Almujadid Empire exists. Gave an action_b to be more peaceful.

Mamelukes now begin with maghrebi culture (delaware).

Downgraded the quality of the Sharay leaders.

Miscellaneous

Added the Pearl Monopoly events for the Gulf of Arabia.

Norway

Added an event that can kick in fro 1450 if Norway is independent wherein the king is 'overthrown' by the tings and a Grand Ting established. Added events to alter the stats of the grand ting, identical as those for the Rigsrad of the Kalmar Union.

Added reformation events and explorer events.

Random Events

Following ideas from Ahmed, altered many of the Noble type events to care more about the DP slider settings for Aristocracy. Higher Aristo now attracts worse versions of the negative events, but also created Noble Support for the Crown which is a benefit only to countries with high Aristiocracy.

Added the Piracy events for the Eastern Med, Atlantic Seabord, Gulf of Mexico, Gulf of Arabia, Indian East Coast, Indian West Coast, Indonesian Archpelago, South China Seas and 'Japan' region.

Created the new Tensions with Neighbour X events, in a sepearate file, which is twice the size of the regular random events file, the biggest in Interregnum. Lets hope they work out OK.

Sweden

Added reformation events, monarchs, leaders and explorer events.

I only had the time to play one short lived round of 6.33revised, I hope that I can get some 6.34 in during the next few weeks (not likely, til April at least).. Keep up the great work Matty, I hope BC's treating you well still!

Dairpo,

OK, I guess. Stuck in a small apartment with a two year old with nowhere to go and it has rained everyday for five months. I kid you not. He's great, but cabin fever does not begin to describe it. When Laura's work here is done, we plan to move back to Jasper.

Speaking of my amazing wife, she is managing the redesign of the park interpretive centre. Lately a lot of her work has been with the local first nations, building a working group for their input into the process. A steep learning curve for her. I knew she would do an amazing job, this young woman working with all these elders. So, last friday, they gave her a name, Utsook, which translates as Great Facilitator. I am so proud of her.

As for Norway, the events relate only to it surviving on its own, assuming it does not get subsumed by Kalmar or Scotland. Unlikely with the ai, but it offers a little more to the player.

It sounds like she's doing great work :) I'm contemplating a second degree that could send me off in that direction (Public History).. It's fun to work with History not as a discipline near the top of the Ivory Tower (but thankfully many floors below Philosophy and Theology, and other such things), but as something living in people's lives. We'll see how the last month of my first degree goes :D

If you need any busy work coding (I.E. for the merchant harassed events or something like that) let me know. My thinking is all directed towards various space-power-knowledge-community projects so I can't think up any story lines past what I'm doing with my archival work, but I can definitely do some busy work!

I hope the sun shines soon (we had 3 months of darkness in the fall, it eats at a guy, I know..)

Cheers

Sounds like some of the work Laura is doing is right up your alley. She's in a very multidisciplinary field of work and at the moment she's doing the steep learning curve on native history and culture.

Thanks for the offer on coding. Actually, the person who might need some help with it is Ahmed, as he codes up the Jizya events. That cycle needs to be applied to each and every non-muslim province in Europe and the Black Sea region. That's a lot of provinces. This is cut and paste work, but it can be time consuming. I'll divide up the task and assign the numbers. ;)

If you come out this way, make it Victoria: its in a rain shadow and doesn't get it as much or as often as the Wet Coast.

So, pm me your personal email and I'll send you the 'final' version of the events, the numbers and the provinces you can apply them to.

Thanks!
