Add Victoria3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

When I tried running the additional windows modules, I got an erorr saying I already had this program installed.

When I checked windows defender, I did not have the ransomware protection turned on.

Here is the dxdiag and pdx_settings files

I do not seem to have a \logs folder, only a \.launcher-cache

I have never successfully launched the game, this is a brand-new laptop

I'm afraid your CPU does not have AVX support, which is a published requirement for this game.

Unless you have access to a machine that does, please seek a refund from where you bought it.

Hey, same issue, brand new game. Im assuming its also hardware? If what specifically? Also, as for refunds got this in a humble bundle so guess I'm out of luck?

That is right - your CPU does not support AVX, which is a published requirement for this game. All you need to do is google your CPU model and 'avx' and you'll see.

I have no idea what Humble's refund policy is, I am sorry - please contact them on that.

Sell or refund this laptop - even then it wouldn't run vicky at all
That is ensure you aren't buying stuff with crap hardware.
