Launcher won't Launch

If I run the Launcher it creates a Windos frame, does not fill it with anything, and then freezes my computer. Cntl-Alt-Delete does nothing, only solution is to power off restart. Sometimes that provokes a blue screen restart, sometimes not. So I have taken to simply running the CK2 exe directly. Right now, however, I would like to get the 1.05c patch, but I can't seem to locate a direct download of it (1.05b is on GamesGate, where I bought).

Any help with either my killer Launcher or where to fird the patch would be great!

The Launcher uses the Windows .NET framework whereas the game does not. So your problem almost certainly lies there, visit the Windows Update site and apply everything it suggests.
