"launching the game failed" (gamepass)

Hello there,

For some reason my game refuses to launch, and I get the error message "launching the game failed". The game worked perfectly fine every time I launched a few days ago. But as of yesterday the game will not launch. I tried various possible solutions such as re-installing the game, disabling anti-virus, launching the game as an administrator, re-downloading visual studio, updating my graphics driver, and attempting to launch in windowed mode. But none of those potential solutions fixed the problem.

For some reason, CK III stopped launching on Xbox Game Pass. Even this morning, it was still working. Now I click on "Play" on the Paradox Launcher, it loads a little, then turns off. Does anyone have a similar problem?

Hi there, thank you, but I found the another solution in these forums where you delete the folder called "wgs".
