I'm torn . I've always liked FWL . in MWO I'm Davion. But I'm also fat and lazy so...Steiner?
I don't think Steiner's will get much chance to sit around. Things are pretty lively
A brief summary of my whooping at the hand of Sitruc:
The battle was on central mountain again. Thinking I was clever, I took two Catapults and a King Crab, with a Jenner as spotter. The plan, use jump jets to get my Cats on the high ground, have my Jenner run about, stay out of LoS using sensor lock to set up LRMs, while Zoidberg stayed out of the line of sight till the enemy closed to within range.
Things went wrong almost immediately. Sitruc brought two Orions (different varients), a Cat, and a King Crab. Combined LRMs from the cat and one of the Orions knocked down the Jenner, who quickly died. I've now sworn off the idea of using lights to spot. His approach to the mountain was well done, keeping to cover and exploiting blind spots from my perch on the mountain.
I decided I had to move the Crab ahead and out of cover to establish Los. The proud Crustacean kept taking huge stability damage from LRMs, being knocked down a few times and losing an arm before even getting off one shot. Sitruc closed with his King Crab for the inevitable kill. I kept the LRMs coming, called shorting at a part of his torso that stored the ammo for those big guns, but no lucky break for me.
My Catapults held out a bit longer, one darting forward into line of sight and firing while the other held back and indirect firing. I emptied my LRM racks and took some heavy hits but RNGsus didn't save me.
Eventually Sitruc jumped his Cat up to the mountaintop. He took out one, and played hide-and seek with my last one for a while. Eventually, down to one Mlaser but with healthy legs, the last Cat DFA'd his opposite number. This destroyed the Draconis mech. With no jump capable mechs Sitruc agreed that it was impossible to finish me off and agreed to let my last Cat retreat. His raid succeeded, and losing three big mechs is a serious blow to the plucky Outworlds Alliance.
