Brilliant ending!!!
Now all the romans finally are (semi)-united, though I think the idea of a personal union is a good solution to the Italian question! With almost all of eastern europe under your control, the cold war would be very much a onesided affair!
Nonetheless a brilliant ending for the roman empire and your AAR!! Looking forward to more!!
I felt this was a very good ending to probably one of the best aar's I have ever read. I myself played the same mod but the Allied Byzantine campaign. Destroyed Italy early, then with a joint effort of France and USSR attacked Germany. I have almost finished my Game and the soviets have fallen to my Byzantine empire. Anyway I would love to see a sequel in the modern era.

The last update was ok-ish I think, though I would rather see all of Italy in the empires hands where it belongs.
To all you warmongers out there: It's my ending to my AAR. I write whatever I like, so let's leave it there.
It would be pretty boring if an author would bow to everyone's preferences, wouldn't it? Call me a peace-lover if you like, but I liked the idea of the Roman Empire as a proponent of peace and democracy, a step away from it's somehow conquering past. It seems that the Roman Empire is forever the symbol of conquering and expansion. So it seemed fit to change that image. Democracy is the way of the future.

This is the best HoI AAR....ever! Great ending, nice to see peace restored. I believe history will be like ours from that moment on, the Soviets will fall and the world will turn out like ours, except with the Romans in charge.
Congratulations Mr Hearts! This is AAR is one of my biggest inspirations in AAR-writing! Truly a classic!

Very very nice ending. Now the Roman empire rules both Romes, and is truly a superpower. The cold war should be an interesting thing to see... too bad you ended it before then.

I know from personal experience that the author's endpoint doesn't always match the readers' and sometimes the latter can "persuade" the former to continue. If this is, indeed, the end, I will say that I regret following your tale late in the story, for I enjoyed the setting and the desparate maneuvering.
