Hello one and all! My name is Derek and this is kind of my first AAR, but not really? I made one on a previous account, but that accounts long gone sadly. This is definitley my first attempt at interactive AARs though.
Either way! We'll start this off with a brief overview of what we'll be doing here. We're playing in the Duchy of Sudreyjar, a relatively small duchy just east of modern day Scotland, with some land in Ireland too. I'll be writing this in a diary format where each chapter will act as an entry in the rulers diary - and with this comes roleplay! I will be playing the characters to their traits - if they're cynical, I'll be a cynic, if they're zealous, i'll be a zealot. That will also affect my writing style, if a character was to be paranoid then their writing will showcase this, or if the character is decietful or proud they may leave out some details that would paint them in a bad light.
Where does the interactivity come in? Its very simple, 5 people will play on the council throughout a councillors life/term - with the correlating jobs. If my ruler was to, for example, wish to declare war on whomever, then they would discuss it with the Marshall (one of you guys) first before doing so (unless they're tyrannical, then they may 'discuss' it and go against, or just completely go for it.) It'll generally be first come first serve, and I'll make a list for whoever wants to play a certain role next. I'll make sure to keep an updated list, as well as change the name for the characters in the actual game!
WIthout further adew, lets start our little intro

Introduction - Legend of Sudreyjar
Dear diary,
The war rages on in both Lothian and East Anglia, with my only ally being the Jarl of Sjaeland. Under the joint banner of The Sons of Lodbrok we aim to get rid of the current rulers present on the British Isles and replace them with Nordic Warriors.
I stand here, stressed in the battlefield, analyzing every move I can take and deciding on what is the best course - and then, I make my move.
Forward we march, deep into Anglican territory, my army of 8000 soldiers hardened from the battles before - adequetely supplied and ready for the forthcoming battles. These wars will decide the futures for me, and any children that I have, as well as my lands and the lands of my allies.
I gaze at a map of my lands, and the lands of those I am at war with and hope for a miracle when I realize how desperately outnumbered we are as more and more Anglican Kingdoms join the war against us - aiming to push us out of the Isles.
I can't allow that to happen, but, I am at a lost for what to do next. I summon my council in an attempt to rally a plan on what to do or where to focus. Do I split my army in two? Send one to Scotland to defend our lands and one to Wessex in an attempt of removing them from the war? Or do I stay under one banner and march on Wessex and hope for a quick victory?
Our Steward
Our Marshall
Our Seer
Our Spymaster
Our Chancellor
We meet in our make shift camp, and we look at our map and we come up with our plan. It is possible for us to send a white peace to East Anglia while we are barely winning - but this will make us look weak in the eyes of our allies. Norse Men fight until our very last breath.
Our King, ready for the upcoming battles.

And that's our little intro sorted
Hopefully you enjoyed, if you wish to play any of the 5 council members just reply to this, it'll be first come first serve and I'll conduct with all of you before carrying on! Once we get atleast 3 councillors joined up, I'll start to continue.
See you soon hopefully!
