 You complain in panther's thread that 6:30 is too early and all of a sudden you want to join a game that starts even earlier?

If you show up, you can join. Mods can be found in the link in the post above yours.

Hi gentlemen,
I uploaded the edited save I mentionned last Friday.

Changes from Grashopa's saves :
- William de Normandie (son of the late Robert Curthose) is duke of Deheubart and count of his father's english possessions (4 counties)
- He is a vassal of the king of England
- That's all.

If you agree I will go on with him, if you don't we will go from Grashopa's save and I will pick the Dukes of March. :)

----

Now since I only tangentially mentionned it in this week's AAR and nobody seem to want to do another one, here is the brakdown of last week's occidental crisis as I remember it :

- Northampton (Kuipy), vassal of the Duke of Oxford, who is a vassal of the Duke of England (and has -1800 prestige), notices that ZOMG there are muslims in Wales free claims ! and attacks.
- Wales is overrun but the muslims won't peace, so he goes crusading, dangerously draining his forces while the King of England regularly white-peaces the heathens
- Meanwhile the kingdom of Venice attacks the muslims as Wales in Wales and get white-peaced but obtains claims in the bargain.
- The duke of Oxford (one province) decides it is a good moment to attack England, so Northampton finds itself without uber-liege and depleted of manpower yet.
- The duke of Britanny attacks Northampton
- Northampton finally peaces the muslims for its welsh provinces, accepting to become their vassal in the hope of breaking away soon.
- France attacks Northampton, bringing along its ally Sicily (Brian)
- At some point Bretagne attacks France, or the inverse.
- Kuipy accepts to be vassalized by France, but is still at war with Sicily
- France attacks England, Kuipy tags along. At that point the situation becomes completely  between England, Northampton, France, Britanny and Sicily.
- Northampton eventually gets vassalized with Sicily. , the other players progressive white-peace one another
- Just as things started to border on sanity again, Venice remembers its welsh claims and attacks Northampton, Sicily retaliates.
- In amoment of egarement Kuipy forgets the rule about remaining Sicily's vassal :eek:o and lets himself be vassalized by Venice.
- Brian is (rightly so :eek:o :eek:o ) furious but here seem to be no in-game solution.
- A couple monts later Venice dies and... Northampton inherits it along with the war against Sicily  elective law FTW
- A new couple of months later Curthose dies and it's game over for Kuipy as some Germans inherit  elective law FTL
- That's about it.

A few details are probably wrong, feel free to correct them...

The honorable Duke of Holland, Brabant, and Flanders does commend the Count of Northhampton for his succesful weathering of this most frightful series of events and fully supports him in any endeavour to see his rights to England and Normandy restored in due propriety.

The lands of England, France, and the Duke's domains have suffered greatly from this confusing and chaotic occidential crisis and encourage all to make amends and restore peace to the region.

indeed i should really read better the damn posts for a start :| 10pm your time is like 2am here  sorry to have bothered you:)

He made himself a vassal of England, he could have just as easily made himself a vassal of Sicily.

The Sicilians are not amused! :eek:o

There is truth to it ; I uploaded a corrected version where I am Sicily's vassal, to compensate for my last blunder.

And when I think of it it might very well be to the best of my interests.

By the way did you notice that a lot of Welsh (as per Grashopa's save) are excommunicated ?

EDIT : raaaaaaah, I can't upload anything on Ederon.

OK, you can get it at http://www.2shared.com/file/4034712/e53fb05b/sicilysvassal.html

Someones got to tell me why everyone was at war with france :)

And I am in mourning that my heir lost his claim as king of poland :/
I haven't a clue. I was at war with him in the previous session for a few months, but that was all Kuipy's fault. :p

I went to war with France to take Brugge. I got bogged down because the king had claims on all my provinces. I'm not sure why Blackmist joined in. Possibly to stab France in the back, possibly to shut me up after all my whining. :p

Overall, great session. Special accolades go to Grashopa for his inexplicably stable hosting. Bravo!

I went after France to grab some duke and count titles I had claims to. Burgundy screwed me over by making peace with most of them so I only managed to get some gold out of France but my secondary goal of weakening my stupid king is going well. Burgundy is at war with a few muslim states, France, and some german duchies (notably the fairly strong Bavaria). So I am hopefull he gets taken down a few notches by his many enemies :).

Oh and of course there was the added benefit of helping out TC as we have an alarmingly poor success rate in northern western Europe when it comes to player ambitions :p

Well, that's what you get for having a liege. :p

The Quintuple Duke heartily suggests you consider radically altering your relationship with the perfidious von Franken king, preferably to the great loss of his pretensions to the Bugundian and Lotharingian thrones.

I would gladly have come to your help but right now I have :

- not much prestige to grab claim (and I prioritize grabbing my rivals' titles since I am getting old.)
- over 12 Bad Boy

Maybe when I have all of Ireland... Which should not take more than another session.

Yeah, you already have a claim on Munster...

Then all you need is either Leinster or Connaught before you can claim Ireland.

I have no need to beat up France. They declared war on me, and I didn't have to land a single army in their territory before they offered me the county of Eu back.
