I got smaller. Had a King who had 3000 piety and was 24 or 28 or something like that with a stable realm. Thought I was going to have an easy session of managing bb but a hunting trip got him killed and left a 4 year old in charge. That is of course when the vassals started declaring war on me, which is understandable when you have -8.4 relations in bb every month and a ruler with 0 diplomacy.

The rebellions went okay though - held it all together and reduced my bb in the process and thought I had escaped a major civil war. When everyone was finally over 50% happy with me and relations were all on the upswing Toscany hit me with the realm duress and things went downhill from there.

My create an Catholic Syria was stopped when that vassal declared independence and was immediately attacked by the muslims in the area, wiping him out, and at session end I have 4 of my more powerful vassals attacking me and 1 minor county. Out of all of this though I lost some vassals in areas I am happy about like Scandinavia and Germany and once the annoying wars with vassals are done I will have my realm organized just the way I want it :).

Outside of Burgundy I don't really know what happened as I was kind of busy :p. I did notice that Norway has managed to recover nicely and has most of scandanavia now though.

Can't tell what bb is when AI controls a nation as it doesn't affect them. Doubt it will be too bad and if it is you can always revassalize those vassals that don't like you for it :p.

And to get an idea of how the converter is doing things Kuipy here is an unedited game run till the end of the first year so it generated income data and such to look at. In this conversion you stayed fairly intact and it broke my nation up a little nicer but I think Flanders should be a vassal still but things will change still in the next 70 years. Just gives an idea of where the converter is for changes and lets you think about what we need to do to help it along.

So I finally had a chance to check out the converted save. It's pretty cool but there are some problems :

- the tags could do with some editing, just switching a few of them can make the setup look better (I can do it not a big deal)
- there are almost no forts in Europe (but it may change as we build big fortifications in CK)
- Center of Trades ! you have almost all of them (apparently they are the vanilla ones, unchanged). Something should be done about that.
- do we really want an HRE ?
- berbers became Georgian (has to do with how DVIP assign tags, not a big thing to fix).

On the plus side, we have some nice contenders with Brabant/Lotharingia and über-Morocco (although they are quite weakened by the Berber conundrum). It will be nice to have a solid muslim competition.

Did you use ulmont's converter ?
 
I did use Ulmont's converter and I have a program to edit the save easily enough once our game is converted. For the edits I was thinking much the same thing really:

-The Georgian culture in Spain and Africa needs to be changed for sure and I was considering making the EU cultures in germany the proper ones, where they haven't been converted to dutch or something else that is. So anything with a german culture in CK will get its area specific culture mapped from a vanilla EU3 setup.
-The tag switches so we don't have the Ukraine ruling in Arabia is an easy switch and while not necessary would be nice
-As for the HRE I never really considered it. Guess it depends on how we want to play EU. Do we want to just crush all the AI and have a few big nations or have them be a part of the game? I like the idea of having the HRE but only if we aren't all going on a WC attempt (which I might add I don't really intend on doing)
-As for the forts a level 1 does not appear in EU unless there is a Large Castle there in CK, which means you might not see much of europe get them before time runs out given the slow progression of tech in the game so far. I don't have a problem with this and don't think they should be added as they are easy enough and cheap enough to build and it reflects the situation we currently have in CK.
-I never gave a thought into the centres of trade and am not sure as to how to split it up. The fact that new ones can be built though could make this less important as other players split off from the ones currently under my control. On the other hand they probably give me a huge income boost as controller if I remember correctly but then that is one of the reasons I went for those areas in CK was for the income so not sure what to do (always hard to suggest ways to make me weaker once we convert :p).

Those are my thoughts on things but we have plenty of time to discuss this still and there will be time when we are bringing in new players (hopefully) that might change things as well.
