Nope. It's the complete patch. I'd also have it preferred the other way around which would've made amending the files of our mods easier. Sadly you can't even distinguish the changed files by date so that you've check file by file with the help of their changelog...
That's ridiculous. Hopefully the final v1.08 patch will only include files that changed. Otherwise it's like a slap in the face to the modding community.
There are some file compare tools you could let run onto two directories with the option to eliminate identical files from one directory. I used such a program once but forgot the name. Must be something like duplicate finder.
Winmerge is fine on a file-to-file basis. Such a duplicate finder is ideal to clean out 100% duplicate files of two selected folders with subfolders, leaving only the changed files in the 108 folder.
Yeah, winmerge works, but no way would I go through hundreds of files just to find out which files changed. A patch should include only the updated files.
I always use winmerge to look at the differences between the old and new files when a patch comes out, but previously there was always a list of files and in any case the files could be sorted by date. According to Furstbischoff's post above, the 1.08 alpha patch does not have this.
