THere should be an option to extract the files and keep the files in the directories that they are in now - so the events go in the /db/events etc - if they don't then they will just pile up in the root directory, and it won't work.

Yeah, they stayed in their own files. They didn't join with the other EU2 files. That's probably the reason.

I meant the options in your WinRar (or whatever you use) program.

In the extract window for WinRAR you need to select "Extract full paths" in the advanced tab, and "extract and replace" in the general tab.
That ought to work then. They need to be extracted to your EU2 directory.
