I have an issue. I played the game for a couple of minutes and then all road started to turn black when building. Now everytime the road is black on placing them And big black blocks are cutting my view, unplayable.

Even on a new map, now the black blocks are at the beginning. I disabled the steam overlay and i checked the files for integrity. I even deleted the content and redownloaded it. No solution so far.

Another issue is, that the game freezes when I try to save. Even the system freezes as well



System specs:

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, Intel i7-2600K, 8 GB RAM, Radeon R7 240 2GB DDR.

Funny sidenote: at the devinfo.txt file (... .steam/steam/SteamApps/common/Cities_Skylines/devinfo.txt) it tells me different GPU VRAM information (512M)

By the way, how can I check the current FPS and where do I find some kind of debug/error log?

As looking through my logfile at .config/unity3d/colossal.../player.log it in both:

that it only detects 512 MB

Oh, that's strange. But why? Do you have any idea? Is this a bug in this game? Or is this due to the OpenSource radeon driver/mesa?

Here is a terminal output (this is the real VRAM of my graphic-card):

I can't tell you more, other games working fine. Even the wine emulated games like World of Warcraft and League of Legends working like a charm (and using memory above 512 mb).

I think the problem(s) are not only on Linux. If I look in this forum, there are many other threads with graphical issues on Linux and Windows. I think, we have to wait for the next bug release.

Because of the wrong VRAM output, I have open a new thread, but at the moment, the thread is waiting for approval by a moderator.
