(linux) game wont even start

Im running newest Kubuntu and steam, When I try to start the game it jumps back to the green 'play' button.

I ve tried:
-every Proton and GloriousEggroll
-to find a log (in /compdata.../%game&/ isnt a log anywhere
-Paradox account is allways linked to steam, so I ve downloaded the ParadoxLauncher; but it just shows the platform games (2 out of 5)

so whats my next try ? Help is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This game is only officially supported on Windows, I'm not sure how much help we can give on Proton I'm afraid! Is it that it doesn't even start our launcher? What if you run Aftermath64.exe directly ?

FYI this game was never ported to our standalone launcher platform so will never appear there on any OS.

To start it as none steam game with the Aftermath64.exe works. Thanks!
