All we know about this that's been said public is from the SGO preview: "The map is limited to Europe, stretching roughly to the Urals in the east and including parts of Persia and the Arabian Peninsula as well as the coast of North Africa."

But, I really want to know if "parts of Persia and the Arabian Peninsula" includes Mecca.

I'm still grovling. Please!

lol yes we would.

So just out of curiosity and just slightly off topic ( but sorry the thread topic can't go much furthur than it already has! ) who thinks you should even be able to convert province religions?

Pagan = yes!

Others = no!!!

Well maybe depending on how you do spain, but :eek:

I think that we should be able to convert provinces, but I'd have a more dynamic system than missionaries in EUII. I'd tie it into policies, and have a small percentage chance based upon where they are set. After all, Christianity spread in Iberia, Sicily, Sardinia and Corsica, while retreating in the Middle East and Anatolia during the CK period.

I'm suggested having an easier time converting pagans before EUII came out, and was very glad that that suggestion was taken up by Paradox. I'd like to see that continue in CK.

It is not our policy to dump design information or databases on our open forums. These days properties have to be protected safely until release. In the long run it will ensure you a better game.

We though often inform of game features etc.

What can I say it is a large map, very large indeed. I especially get exited when I see the Middle East, but of course every area of the map is intruiging. Don't worry about Krain/Istria.

I especialy like parts:"What can I say it is a large map, very large indeed."
"Don't worry about Krain/Istria."

I see the light! I see the light! :D

Thanks Graven :)

Ok, you have a good point there. If it was done something like that, I could be comfortable with religious conversions. Though I still think it would be silly if mecca converted. Maybe provinces can have some kind of modifier. Well too late if they don't but I am sure they'll do it right!

I really hope, when screenshots are released, that They make two of said screenshots show the eastern borders of the map; one of the southeastern corner of the map and one of the region at the southern tip of the Ural mountains.

Well, I'd rather see conversions take place slowly since that was the way that it happened in real life. Therefore, the longer that you hold a province, the greater your chance of conversion (short of masacre). Since Mecca is far away enough, it should be very difficult for a Christian dynasty to conquer it. If a Christian dynasty manages Mecca, the entire Moslem world should unite in Jihad against the presumptuous Christian dynasty. Conversion could only happen if the conquest holds -- which means if there was a very significant shift in the ballance of power.
