Truth to be told as much as I may have given different impression, and of course I slightly dislike the fact they cannot move, I am not against the way they are right now, as Titan pointed out it AI would not probably like it too much. Simply having a line say immobile_unit = 1\0 in the unit.txt file to determine it would be interesting, and possibly useful for modders.

But I do agree, it's not exactly extra super hot on priority list.

for 1.09 I would like to change the possibility to multiuse leaders.

there are some you could use as ministers, tech teams and generals at the same time!
either the use of one leader blocks the other possibilities to use him (e.g. if he is researching something, he can't be general, if he is general and is appointed minister, he has to give up his field-command,...)
or his effektivity is reduced if he is multiused (can't concentrate on all things at the same time)

maybe such a big change would make it easier to prohibit the use of leaders in different countries at the same time as well (e.g. if ENG exists and GER conquers british islands and liberates parts of England as puppets they can have some ministers that are already used by ENG at the same time!!! *traitors!hehe*)

It appears that now some leaders can lead an army in france and fly a plane in china at the same time, because one person is used as 2 leaders n different sections. That is more of a problem. When guderian leads some mayor offensives and optimizes the blitzkriegdoctrine at the same time that is no bad thing. It appears less plausible if doctrine research lacks practical evidence.

Hello everyone! May I give some suggestion too?
I'm still using 1.06 version at this moment so, I don't know if what I ask here already covered or not.

1. How about ability to buy military unit from other country? If I'm not wrong, it is only possible to sell your unit (or may be buy) but only from our own allies. I think this is can be useful for smaller country to defend its own country. For example, when N. China under attack from Japan, N. China can use its lend lease support to buy more military. If not, what that money for?
2. Same like number one, but for blue print.
3. Preparation for attack event. I think there should be an event to prepare AI/ player before a big operation held. I meant like this. For example when Germany want to invade USSR, there is an event before the attack that tell internally (to Germany it self so other country or player can see it) that they are going to attack USSR. The idea behind this suggestion is that, I ever play as USSR, and of course I already know that German will attack, so I prepare myself in the front line. But Germany AI seems to know nothing and let its own military unit inside their own territory. So does when I play as France. When event for Germany to attack Belgium and Netherlands, German military not ready at all. So I think there is should be an event that say something like this: "Sir, we are going to attack USSR. Please move our troops to the front line." Then, the AI will move its troop to the front line. May be can also be enhanced with option to agree or not. If not is selected then the following attack will not performed.
4. Please add pause when it is save to change domestic policy (no dissent at all).
5. How about possibilities to upgrade from militia and garrison to infantry?
6. Possibility to return or ask for occupied territory. Example: When I play as USA, I annex Japan before surrender event happens and Nat. China is not defeated yet. So, some of China territory is mine. I want to give it back but not possible.
7. How about when tank, airplane or ship is upgraded, they can't move? The reason is because when this military unit is upgraded, they surely in the factory so can't do some combat. But for infantry and other man based military unit, they still can act since they still can use their old gun until the new one arrives. But since the time to upgrade is long (half of production time if I'm not wrong), how about split the time into two different stage. The first stage is the normal time like what happen now (this is the time when the upgrade part is produced by IC). The second stage is installation stage. In this stage, tank, airplane and ship unable to move because for upgrade maintenance. The time for second stage can be couple of days to couple of week.
8. Embargo.
9. Put pressure/ ultimatum over other country in diplomacy. Something like what Germany did to Poland in Danzing or War. But make it possible for other country to threaten others. Maybe like China put pressure to its surrounding warlords.

I think that is all for now. There are some other thing in my mind but I can't remember it for now.
Hope can see it in the next patch.

own events/ eventchains for nations like USA, GB, Germany,... to mobilize National Guard , homeguard, volkssturm units in case of an invasion

could start with the decision to train homeguard/national guard/volkssturm after some key events (in case of GB the fall of France, in case of USA fall of GB, in case of germany maybe loss of polish or french/benelux territory):

event "should we train for the worst case?"

if "full mobilisation" --> manpower -20 (or so) and quick mobilisation (7-15 days) if national territory is lost for the first time with a good couple of militia or a few INF (tech-1 of actual)"popping" up in centers of high population (e.g. London, Liverpool, Birmingham in case of GB)

if "just do enough to keep up spirit" --> manpower -10 (or so) and quick mobilisation (7-15 days) if national territory is lost for the first time for 1/2 the full number of units

if "not necessary" - no homeguard mobilisation (should not be an option for AI!)

Such an eventchain would buy (especially the AI) some time to get the homefront fixed so there is a chnce to thwart an invasion (as of now, GB or USA are doomed as soon as GER grabs a foothold on their shores!

*More ministers for Canada, south Korea and minors like Libya in north Africa.

*More events for south American countries and countries in Asia.

*Possible to change head of the governments, but you get more dissident when a country is a completely totalitarian.

*To use my expanded death_events.txt in game.

1. Different color for frontline borders - between countries being at war.
2. Event trigger counting losses as percentage of yearly manpower growth.
3. Reintroduce "Blitz" action from Hoi1 in adaptable form.
4. Disable Navy production button for countries without coastal provinces
and impossible one ... :)
Possibility to run AoD process with parameter allowing it to be active in background.

Minor issue: USA Gear Up for War 1 event, gives +1 to drafted army, I would prefer +1 to standing. (Yes, easy to change, but better if vanilla makes the change).

Didnt get this for 1.08 (might have been too late to make the cut) but I would still like default file save name changed to eg USA_380327 ie countryId_yymmdd. Although I have a wide screen monitor (getting a bit old now) AoD doesnt use the full width and the default file names of long named countries with attached date is not fully visible. The proposed naming convention also saves files in cronological order and would help with gaining familarity with the country codes.

Would be nice if you could have the mod-selection box in the load window (you know, where you choose resoultion and stuff). Like it is in other games (CK2,EU3, DH...). Also a mod folder :)

For 1.09, I would like the full message window boxes to stack, preferably to the right hand side of the screen (more space available there). The smaller message prompt icons would have to be moved to stack down the left hand side of the screen. I like getting some full messages but really dislike them suddenly appearing under my mouse button just when I am invariably in the midde of doing something else. Getting 3 or 4 message boxes suddenly appearing around my mouse pointer is a real pain. The other solution is to turn them all off entirely, but I would like to keep some of them if possible.

- Give Africa more resources so that it is worth to conquer/protect it. That can be done by event. Same for the Middle East and its oil.
- The AI should prefer reinforcing its units instead of building new ones (in wartimes).
- The AI should build up more industries, infra, etc (the argument that not that much industries were created in WW2 is obyiously wrong and such should be reflected by the game).
- Add a building that produces metal (out of energy/rare/oil/money)
- CAGs should have their own techtree and carriers should have more brigades attachble on them (e.g. RADAR or AA guns).
- And please - make the AI use nukes.

Those are already done in 1.08.
