This game looks interesting!
The ambulances look great, i hope to see the same effects on police and fire dept.
The expansion of the map, don't ever take that away again and never force gamers to be online.

Some things i really hate in Cities XL: (i know Cities XL is other developer :))
Just to point out to not make the same mistakes. ;)

- Constantly crashing and lagging even crashing when I change something in the game options.
- The annoying menu's all over your screen.
- Cars vanishing at a roundabout.
- No option to make a perfect circle from your road.
- Constantly traffic congestion everywhere even when you have a lot of roads.
- City looks dead, nothing changes even when conditions in an area are very bad.
- Traffic waiting and waiting at an intersection for minutes even when there is not one single car coming from the other direction.
- Parking spaces?
- The first person view not really a fan.
-Traffic lights at places where there are no traffic lights needed.

Some things i like to see in the Cities: Skylines or in expansion:

- Loads of options to build roads, bridges and crazy road connections with large intersections.
- Some parking space around offices and factory's.
- Towing company, post office, movie theatres, shopping centres and so on.
- Government buildings.
- Someone wildly parking his car along the road.
- When emergency services drive by at high speed, cars should make room for them.
- A traffic accident somewhere.
- A car chase.
- Weather changes like rain and lightning and at some point lightning hitting a tree or high building. (season changes)
- A Rainbow appearing.
- Loads of options in public transportation, different types of trains, boats and buildings.
- Day and night cycle.
- Ability to make regions.
- Loads of visual eye candy.
- Carpool sections.
- Bike paths.
- Billboards
- Variation in buildings and vehicles (such as not all fire departments should look the same).
- Loads of different building styles (http://www.greatbuildings.com/types.html)
- Different types of animals.
- More resources like gold, coal and copper.
- The option for the player to make your city as green as possible or smog everywhere.
- Military, secret service and war should be in it.
- Some micromanaging (the option to set up your own bus routes or just let everything go automatic)

I know that some things on this list will already be in the game.
I will add more if something comes to mind.

Wait... This game is not CitiesXL or made by the developers of CitiesXL, its a completely different city builder/sim game made by a completely different developer that made Cities in Motion 1 and 2, not Cities XL...

That's a tall order that patkro looking for but very interesting. What I would really like to see is to have full usage of the map tile canvas. If I was to choose only a few things on the map tile it would to have a smooth streamline road and rail system like CiM2 has. Realistic style farmlands, airport and the control of where you can place a building on its property when it Plop's down like in CiM2 can!

DLC More public transport option. Call it "Skylines commute."
DLC More sport options. Call it "Skylines play ball."
DLC Different road designs and signs "CAll it "Skylines Roadtrip."
DLC Shopping Malls. CAll it Skylines shop to you drop."
I should get a royalty for naming them.

3 questions

Hi i've tree questions for the developer -Will it be possible to put trees for less pollution ? Or create natural area like a natural park ?, will it be possible to ban the truck leave the factories to cross the residentials areas ? and finally Will it be possible to have aquatic's activities on lake or sea for The tourism ? Thanks for answering

Yes, you can put trees down, and make your own parks. You can ban trucks/heavy traffic from certain areas.
But the last question, I don't know. I hope there will be some aquatic activities for tourists. It would be nice to see some sailboats and people swimming in the beach.

EDIT: Didn't realize that there was a separate forum post for this before I typed it. I put this info on there too.

My number 1 wish would be: SC13-like intercity/regional connections.

Our CPU/RAM will eventually reach a bottleneck, be it 500k, 1mil or 10mil Cims (if the 1mil limit gets modified). I'd like to build on from there on an available empty space adjacent to it with a new city while my previous city/cities continue to exist.

As with its many other features, SC13 had the right idea and concept, but their execution failed tremendously: full of bugs, full of things not working as intended.

It'll be amazing to see several cities of ~1 million (or more) citizens co-existing in that sort of concept in CSL without the disruption of several gamebreaking bugs. Imagine seeing a several cities of 10+ tiles each in a super-region of sorts. Even if the citizens and vehicles are being simulated and rendered within only one of those cities at a time, it'll be a glorious sight for a modern city-building game.

The only thing I want from this game that they haven't shown yet is terraforming. If we could terraform before we start building our city, that would be amazing

Just found Dev Diary 6. All my city building dreams have come true

Can you terraform in a city that has already been started? I know you can't do it in game, but is it possible to do via the map editor without restarting your city?

I'd rather play the game first before making a list of changes I'd like to make to it (if any).

We know of things that aren't in the game for release that people do want in the game at some point, whilst I partially agree, there's no reason not to converse and discuss ideas about this now for post-release.

"- Military, secret service and war should be in it."

Man i think you dont know what City Simulator means. Anyway some of your request are nice.

I think I know what he means, not necessarily war but visual events like fires, crimes, marching bands, street carnivals, riots etc. that give the city a living atmosphere, things that are triggered for some reason or another.

I'd like to see:

Pedestrian roads and laneways! I think these are vital for creating interesting, people-friendly and beautiful city centres. Most cities trend towards removing traffic from highly congested inner cities and replacing them with pedestrian boulevards, laneways, malls, tram routes and plazas to improve people movement and decrease noise and polution. European cities do this heavily but also Melbourne and even Sydney is getting rid of cars from its main street. We definitely need this option at one end of the roads spectrum to compliment inter-city motorways at the other.

All the transport options from CIM2 and its expansions, most notably trams. I hope and expect we'll get a transport DLC. As for the trams I'd like for it to be possible to merge in and out of traffic, but I imagine that is quite difficult to program... :( Also, for the option to share pedestrian only roads kind of like this:

Better lighting, atmospheric and weather effects. I want the game to look gorgeous as well as being an in depth simulator. Also day/night cycle. I think we'll get this in time.
