I also have some two ideas:

1. Maybe we will use Zeitgeist "Power & Prestige" system? :)

2. How about moving start date from 1419 to 1296? I heard it is possible.

TT4,

Thanks. I'll add you.

Hal,

As I've said numerous times both in the forum and by ICQ (to you personally, if I'm not mistaken), COTs will be redistributed so that all humans either start with them or don't start with them. ;) I haven't made up my mind (the upshot being that they'd be placed in ultra-competitive regions), but in neither case will it be half-half.

EDIT: I'm going to talk to Zeit about that.

As far as changing the date, why? There'll be no historical monarchs/events/leaders anyway. I suppose from a purely academic standpoint, beginning in the High Middle Ages would better serve the Old World approach we're taking...

It was not me :)

I think all humans should start with COTs.

OK Good.

So we are using historical leaders, event and monarchs... Hm, in that case changing date is bad idea.

I am also thinking should I really take Poland. If there will be historical leaders, in XVIII/XIX century I will again have only few of them. But maybe MT will provide me some nice ones...

HAL, this is a NON-historical game.

Btw, I'd like to say formally: ARG!!!! why wednesday nights...
Been trying to get you Shigure back into this game for past 6 months :D

Also, in such a setting, you have to include a player in north africa/arabian coast and one in Persia, for good measure; or to remove those areas(arabian coast outside of Med, persia) from the game at large. Otherwise HoG has everything there without opposition :D

bump :p

Dago,

Not at the moment.

Tem,

Persia's already been removed. Granada is the North African (in Iberia because otherwise it'll suffer disadvantages with regards to European COTs and mercs).

The rest has been carefully balanced so that all countries have an equal opportunity and equally large base.

Well, no doubt if this rekindles my addiction, I'll join half a dozen games on other nights, half of which fail, and then burn out on the game again! :D

Damn it, someone post the scenario somewhere publically where I can see it. :D

Correct one...

No, you probably have the right one... before randomisation. When we actually play, the random effects will be added.

Is this game starting 31 August? If so, are we ready to go? Do we have the final set-up to study?

Ups... ehem... I just realised, that 7pm EST is not 23:00 CET, but 01:00 CET, so I have SMALL problem with playing too long...

I will see how will first session go. If I will be too tired I will have to leave game :(

It would help if the Game's Creator could pop in and answer one or two of the questions. ;)

All,

We do indeed play tomorrow at 7:30 PM EST. Sharp. If you aren't there and we can't find a sub, your country goes AI.

The scenario is finished apart from two things. One, the randomization, will be done right before the session so it's a surprise. The other, cores, depends on all of you. Head over to the mini-atlas http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=155027 in the FAQ forum and post up to twelve core requests in this format xxx xxx xxx xxx... You have until thirty minutes before session. Anyone who doesn't have it done in time will have it done for next week.

All proposed rules and edits are in, as there wasn't any dispute. In addition, 20 points of badboy will be cut from each player after the first session. Any left over BB to be cut will carry over to the next session.

Examine your starting position very carefully, as I may have made mistakes.

A new thread will be posted shortly, with a more appropriate name.
