I haven't touched the game in weeks. Now, with MechWarrior customization, it's back at the top of my list.

Thanks for the improvements, HBS team!

Now it's time to check how my 'Mechs behave after the balancing, and probably will have to give Yang and the Mech Bay troupe quite a lot of work xD

Uuuh...wut? I already found incendiary weapons to be somewhat lacking in ammo. Time to scrap my Firestarter, I guess.

Are you using it in SP or MP?

If SP, a couple of JSON edits would keep your Firestarter right where you like it.

Great job, really enjoying the patch. I have noticed when you have fast movements elected rather than manually doing it by hitting the spacebar, selection gets a little sticky when Mechs are right next to each other.

Also would love to see some fusion containment failures on critical hits to the center torso in the future.

Is it possible to complete a current campaign run on the previous settings before applying this patch? I really dislike big gameplay changes mid-campaign. Some Paradox games allow you to opt into the "beta" of previous software levels to prevent this happening.

Well, a very short time to test a bit the beta, but the overall is good.

My first feeling is the playthrough is smoother, and the difficulty more balanced.
I've use the standard options to compare with the previous version.

The gameplay change mainly because the stability changes.
Maybe the stability changes are too big...
The fights are more fierce and bitter, you down ennemies slower and it results a shredering effect of mechs(at leat for 2 skulls or less).

I had 2 cases of not well balanced fight:
- The firt one (recovery), 1.5 skulls, just a scorpion vehicle and a panther. So an half lance instead of a complete one.
Easy shoot of the two opponents, move on base, take the data and it's over...what ? that's all ?
- The second is the opposite situation. 2.5 skulls. First lance : hungpack 4G and 4P, hammermech and catapult, full armor. So a little bit powerfull than me.
I down one the two hunkpack when two of my mechs are in great trouble, while reinforcements arrived (no sight but big fire power I guess the same kind of opponents than the fists ones).
No choice, surrender...Not lucky !

The new opponent creation system feels a little bit more fun with a boss effect (the bigger mech for named ones for assasinate mission for example).
I encounter a grasshoper during a 1.5 skull mision (whaoow effect, an exiting effect between down it as quick as possible because of the threat and an big opportunity to salvage a heavy mech so soon !).

LRMs are near dead, not enough damage and not enough stability as well. The LRM boats seems sinking...
LL become a good alternate using some heat sink addition.
The stability changes give more weapons choices now, even I feel the changes are too high for heavys and assaults.

I'm OK to have loading times but there still interface frictions (main menu navigation, store switching buttons, scratch or store a mech, and so on).
I have a not so bad laptop Asus ROG with an i7 and GTX980M , SSD and the delay times becomes seconds in the late game.
It kills the game for me, the waiting time is too big, and become very annoying, and do not incent me to continue.

To finish a really not significative change that surprise me:
When customize a regular pilot (a nice behavior), and particulary when you change the voice, you should play the voice automatically instead of clic on the play button manually.

Not easy to have an opinion for the late game, the test time was too short.

If we downloaded the game from the Humble Store with a code from backing the Kickstarter, how do we update our games?
I had originally also chosen Humble Store as delivery method when I backed Battletech, I feel for you. After realising how problematic it is to get updates on Humble Store I contacted HBS asking to change over to Steam. The customer service was fantastic. They made my old Humble Store delivery inactive and supplied me with the game via Steam. Best thing ever. Maybe contact HBS and see if they do the same for you mate.

I will try that!
