How long does the player have before they must attempt the next story mission (once the story mission shows up in the contract list)?

What happens if the player fails a story mission?

Are specific 'Mech variants more likely to be available at specific planetary stores than others?

How is gameplay affected if a planet has the attribute "Star League"?

How is gameplay affected if a planet has the attribute "Battlefield"?

How is gameplay affected if a planet has the attribute "Ruins"?

How is gameplay affected if a planet has the attribute "Research"?

How is gameplay affected if a planet has the attribute "ComStar presence"? Does it just mean that ComStar offers procedurally-generated contracts there?

How is gameplay affected if a planet has the attribute "pirate presence"?

Are there plans to eventually add all of the remaining era-appropriate 'Mech chassis from MechWarrior Online to HBS' BATTLETECH?

Does the Flamer still have only 3 ammo?

Does it matter which skill level 5 ability a MechWarrior chooses first? If a MechWarrior has 2 skill level 5 abilities, then can the MechWarrior choose either skill level 8 ability from their 2 specialized skills?

That quote is correct.

While Dropships can take a week or more of FTL travel within a system, Jumpships "jump" from one Jump Point to another, typically to a different star system, covering light-years in mere seconds.

Both are FTL travel, just differenting degrees of FTL travel.
Dropships are explicitly not FTL ships. If they were, they could travel from planets to jump points in minutes, not days.

I'd like to know if there are any plans to add any more variants that are from the timeline, like the Banshee 3S, a 3026 Mech, post launch and if there are plans to add more Mechs except the Marauder and Warhammer in the future?

Might be an "in success" thing, but I'll ask anyway:

Any chances to pay off the debt on the Leopard and get the clearance to do some mods to it?

Is the engine flexible enough to expand to two-lance deployment later, or would it require major re-coding?

Can the story system accommodate more than one storyline in play at a time, such that a modder doesn't have to overwrite the HBS storyline, but have a small storyline of their own running in parallel? If so, could some informal "How 2 Writ Gud N Stuf" guidance be conveyed at a future date?

Thank you Emma.

...as it turns out, I was the person my dog thought I was... I only wish she'd have set the bar higher. : )
Can't be worse than our old family dog, a Collie, who herded us like sheep.
He clearly didn't even think we were worthy of the status of people :D

I have a series of questions regarding the movement allowance of different Mech chassis.
Does and/or how does the x of 10 Movement bar in the mechlab relate to actual Hexes moved in the field? I'm guessing no, since this value changes when adding/removing jumpjets.
Do the number of hexes a Mech chassis can move or sprint equal the numbers defined for those chassis in tabletop?
Is there some way to calculate the number of hexes a mech will be able to walk/sprint/jump from within the mechlab?

I know terrain can affect movement, but just discussing 'standard' terrain here.

Thanks!!!

Can you go into detail about how Reputation impacts the game from the early part of the game through to post main storyline late game?

It's been difficult to determine reputation impacts so far in the streams and appears like it would be difficult to justify investing in reputation.

Regarding the UI in combat :
  • in the bottom left and in the upper center all the Mech's profiles are the same. We can see that some Mechs already have a profile (see on Steam the introduction of the Shadowhawk, Centurion, Orion, Griffin...). I think it would be more easy if we could clearly identify a Mech at first sight without having to read the name - particularly for the Mech we are given order to (bottom left). Do you think something like my picture may happen one day (not for the release but for the future) ? Is it a thing you've considered but throwed out (if yes, why ? Not enough time ? Too much work ?)
BT-MyWish_UI.jpg
It could be very helpful for the beginners and, in term of UI, more friendly imho.
(Yes, I know there is a lot of Mechs so it's a lot of work)
  • When overheating a Mech is threatening, why don't the Fire button blink in red/orange too ? As you can see on the picture below, the !!! overheat alert !!! message doesn't have enough contrast with the ground/background...

Pegging Mission Difficulty to Restoration Campaign Progress is a very smart move IMO. : )

When the player aquires 3 Partial 'Mech Salvage of the same 'Mech variant, does that newly assembled 'Mech chassis automatically come with all of its own stock weapons and equipment or are the weapons and equipment automatically taken from the player's storage stockpile in order to assemble the new 'Mech chassis?
