Loading bug

Every time I load the game, at that part where the loading screen pulls away and the map is revealed, the border of the loading screen does not pull away, covering up the buttons. The only way to fix it is to alt-tab away from the game and then go back.

There were a few other reports of this a while ago, IIRC it was related to a particular video card and the fix was to update to the latest driver.

Nope, updated from the driver which was released in February to the driver which was released in April, and the issue continues. I have a Radeon HD 7970, by the way.

What version and checksum show on the main game menu?

Steam version, up to date, all DLC (Last I checked anyway).

I've edited some files (I can't remember them all right now) so I assume the checksum isn't correct, but it is KTVV

So the version showing is 1.05e?
Did the problem happen before you edited files? BTW, you should always copy your official installation to a new location, and only edit those files, just in case you introduce some problem.

Yes, 1.05e.

I can't remember if the problem came with the editing or the upgrade. I'll try reinstalling to see if that helps.

What should the checksum be for my fresh install?

Just did a fresh install, checksum BDNP, version 1.05e, haven't touched anything (filewise, or even optionwise), again all DLC and the problem is still there.

edit: Internet search says the checksum is correct.

please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the "Sound devices" section for brevity), settings.txt, system.log and error.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload).

I managed to "fix" the problem.

I changed my refresh rate from 120 (which showed up in the ingame menu as 59, but properly in settings.txt as 120) to 60.
