Loading Graphics CTD

Hi,

CK2 won't load at all - it crashes to desktop on start up while "loading graphics". Never had a problem with it before.

I tried adding it to the exceptions list on my antivirus (AVG), and also doing the userdir.txt idea suggested on this forum (adding only a full stop . to the file before saving and exiting). Neither worked.

I also tried checking cache and restarting, but to no avail.

Update: I disabled my antivirus (temporarily) and it worked not sure it's a permanent solution though.

Update: I disabled my antivirus (temporarily) and it worked not sure it's a permanent solution though.

By all (most) accounts it's perfectly fine to turn it back on after the first successful start and after you had quit the game again that time.
So one successful start, quit , turn AV back on, start game again, should work.
