Hello,

I'am playing with my friend at stellaris for 5 years. I'am from france and he is from Japan. Anyway, it takes a long time to transfer the save (5-10 min each time).
When i send him the save on ftp or discord , it takes 10 seconds max. ( the save file is not big)
Is there a way to send him the save faster or is it possible to manually use the save ? Even with the same name / file , the game wait for the transfer.

Best regards,
JR

I agree, same here. my save file is also only 10 MB... and takes nearly 5 minutes to upload to him. We both have great uploads and putting the file in discord transfer goes at like 1 second. We have reversed the process where he hosts and it is the same. This is not a network upload / latency / jitter thing unless this is an issue with whatever service is acting at intermediary to make multiplayer games work through our NAT'd IPs. Is there no way to play a 'LAN' game to bypass online intermediary... I know how to open firewall ports.

I think its the way they upload their files. I have tried to put the same name / same folder directly in the save dir to avoid the loading but it doesn't check if the save is already there :'(
