Loading Save Games

Greetings,

I've started my first multiplayer game. So, first game went well after resolving some issues with my router. Second game, not so much.

The host clicks on the save game, and all we see over our two names, in the loading screen, is a counter going again and again from 1/100 to 100/100. Is it loading? How long does it last? Are we doing something wrong? :wacko:

It should go from 1/100 to 100/100, then you should be able to select a country.

I should probably be worried then, cause it do it over and over again and I don't get to choose said country. Do all players involved need to save the game or just the host?

Just the host needs to save the game. Be sure that you:

1. Dont leave and reenter while host is transfering the save. This usually makes this happen and a rehost is needed to fix it.
2. Try to clear your hoi2/scenarios/saved games folder of all saves (and in doomsday folder if you are using it). This goes for the client.
3. You could try to send the file over email and put it in the folder above.

All right. Will try.

I'll empty my folder (I'm the client) of all save games, ask for a copy of his file which will be copied in my folder and we'll try to start the game this way.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. HoI2 in multiplayer kicks ass, it would be a shame not to be able to play more

we had a similar problem tonight. Do you use any kind of mod or gfx mod?

No mods. Just vanilla 1.3a.

We're testing it in an hour. I'll post results...
