hiho, im having a problem playing a local game with my little cousin. actually, it is more a windows-network problem or something. im used to play on the local-network with both computers connected directly (2 network-cards on one pc 1 on the other plus network-cable). but i have no experience with computers that are connected via modem and it seems that the connection between both is only secured if there is an internet connection. dont ask me why, sounds stupid. since im in a small village in spain right now, every time we loose internet connection, we have to restart the game... :(

can you give me any general advise on how to play via modem/router without depending on the internet connection?

thx in advance!!
