Sorry for not replying I was on vacation...
I tried to disable most thinges.. nothing else than systray, Explorer osa(don't know what that is) and loadqm runs. Any other solution.
I can play the game, if I just save often, and then when it happends, just load again, but its still very annoying.

I would suggest adding some memory to your system, it is very cheap now, and it would help all your aplications.

Yes it would. But I'm saving for a new computer, I expect to buy in Septemper, so it doesn't matter.
I found this program The ultimate trouble shooter. With this program I can see which programs is running in the background. So I'll check I don't want to wait till I'll get a new computer. Write back soon.

Play on 800x600, and music set to off in the EU2 settings program.
This may help performance somewhat.

Same Here.

I'm having the same problem with my current game of HoI, but I have a bit more of a system than Jackcolt. I've already played a couple of successful games. I actually was able to play this (1936 scenario) game all the way up until 000 4 April 1942 as USA. After that, everything went to crap. I've tried using the saved game fix utility which works successfully for a couple more minutes of gameplay, then it freezes again.

I've also tried music/no music and disk/no disk. I'm using Win2K.

Next post will be Direct X results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay 3 problems stand out.
1) Your Video driver is way out of date.
2) Your sound card driver is out of date.
3) You are using VIA drivers which are known to be buggy.

Update those.
Also rename the AVI folder to AVI_back, set color depth to 16BIT and make sure nothing is running in the back ground like Virus protection, ICQ/Messanger ...

Forget the last entry, it doesn't count, because I figured I've forgot to mark "use folder names" in Winzip, while patching to 1.05c. So today I tried to install it again, and patch right. Then I tried to play Blitzkrieg as the germans, and at every start my computer frooze. I've tried to disable every i can, but no help. (I figured that i had to have findfast on, or else when browsing my computer, it will slow time each time entering a directory) So then I remembered that I should rename the Avi folder to Avi_back and this time it didnt crash. I don't know if all this helps. But I'll try to play a game now, and then prey to god, that he will help my computer through this game.

Well it happend again. I don't know it's pattern it just happens sometimes. Well it's my impression that this game is very buggy, or more correct the game engine. I've seen the game on 4(3 of which is my brothers) computers. On my brothers computers, it's just RND CTD, nothing helps, and on this computere it's random freezes??? And my brothers computers can easily run it, one of them has 1024 mb ram, and 128 mb Vram, and 1.8 ghz amd. So is this game engine just...crappy?

Most bugs are gone by this patch level.
Just some Hardware problems.

You said you are having the problem with EU2, and that program is rock solid now, excluding any new bug introduced and fixed quickly in the beta patches.

I don't have that game anymore. I sold it last year, I can't really remember what v. i had, i think it was 1.6 or 1.7... not sure... But if thats rock solid, will I then be able to run it?
