I'm currently playing as the king of Italy, but I'm Lombard.
My current character's grandfather was Desiderius and his mother was Queen of Lombardy for a short time, and when she died he inherited the Kingdom. Since he was a kid, Charlemagne invaded him and became the King of Italy. Later, as an adult (and while I was playing as his father) he became independent as the Duke of Piedmont and created the custom Kingdom of Piedmont. When I died, I started playing as him (the King of Piedmont) and I pressed my claim for the Kingdom of Italy, believing it would turn back to Lombardy as soon as I got it. But that didn't happen. I'm currently playing as a Lombard king of Italy, and that's pretty bad, considering that I plan on converting my country's culture to Lombard but since it's Italy a lot of conversion events fire.
What do I do? Is this a bug or I did something wrong?
