3. Hopefully not, as the game would be banned or at least not sold with such content, historical or not!
Well it is present in Medieval TW.

Well, anyway: His Highness Johan the Great has spoken; there are no such possibility in CK. Thankfully!:)

In Vic I can edit my armies names in game. In CK I won't be able to customize children names in game. Why? In my opinion the best solution would be generate names but with possibility to edit it as army name in Vic. Why players have to edit their save game files to do it? I can't understand this....I hope that someone will make mod to change this shortly after game release.

I don't find the inability to name your own children distressing in the least. First, maybe I am just ignorant, but I would be hard-pressed to come up with medieval-Hungarian names for such a profusion of children that a several-hundred-year old dynasty would require. Furthermore, though the names are randomly generated, they add a sense of historical accuracy in that (I gather) they have historical precedents. And finally, this game is a strategic simulation on a grand-scale, and such conventions as naming seem hopelessly banal.

I agree, the only places I would have a chance of making somewhat accurate names is France (They are all named Charles), England, and Scotland. I'm glad I wont have to come up with the names myself, but should I want to I can edit the list.

No they're not all named Charles, you should alternate Charles with Louis. :)

The portuguese ones are great, too: Afonso I; Sancho I; Afonso II; Sancho II; Afonso III...

That's why most people are suggesting you're offered a default which you can decline in favour of something of your own.

Strategic and dynastic simulation, and the option to name, or at least rename from inside the game contributes to immersion at no cost in complexity.

I don't understand the fuss about editing names. I think randomizing the names is a good idea. Well atleast playing MP I wouldn't want any other way as I would hate seeing someone named Rambo leading the crusades.

Weren't there a few "Henrii"'s as well, or was that after the game period? ;)
