Hi everyone! I consider myself fairly knowledgable about CK, but I'm looking to transform general knowledge into specific knowledge in two areas today.

First, I know piety effects BB reduction. My question is what is the rate? What is the scale of piety and BB reduction?

Secondly, how do gifts of money interact with vassal loyalty? Recently I've seen gifts of 40 gold change relations by ~40% for one vassal while for another 100 gold only ups it by five. Clearly this is a semi complex process, and I'd like to know more about it.

Thanks guys.

I've been trying to figure out the answer to this question. It doesn't seem to be strictly related to cash. In my experience, the number of titles that the recipient has also seems to have an effect. I find that 100 gold buys a 20 percent increase in loyalty from a one-county vassal, a 10 percent increase from a two-county vassal, etc. The next time my king dies, I'll try to figure out if there's any correlation against income levels.

Quick question in relation to this:

Where can I find what exactly my badboy reputation is sitting at at any given time? Is it somewhere in the game or do I have to go to the save file?

From what I've seen, it's both the amount of gold he has as well as other things. It seems to me 100 gold goes a longer way with a Count than with a Duke. I suppose number of counties could also factor in.

I think you could figure out the calculation by looking at how your reputation is effecting vassal loyalty.

If the Recipient has between 0 - 99 gold, a 100 Gold gift buys 80 loyalty divided by the number of titles/vassals titles of recipient.

If the recipient has between 100 - 199 gold, a 100 Gold gift buys 40 loyalty divided by the number of titles/vassals titles of recipient.

If the recipient has 200 or more gold, a 100 Gold gift buys 20 loyalty divided by the number of titles/vassals titles of recipient.

There does seem to be a modifier, not sure if it's Rebellious trait or if Rivals, but sometimes the gift is only half as effective. I've yet to fully test that yet.

These seem to be the general guidelines that I've been using for quite a while now, especially during the Changes of Rulers. It's at the point now, where i can pretty much tell if even a 25 Gold gift would be enough to push their loyalty to where I want it.
