Hello.
I7-6950X/32Gb/3070Ti/SSD
The latest Stellaris build (Steam), no mods.
Large Map and I'm unable to play at all. FPS drops 35-1 (ONE!) FPS.
opening any dashboard. selecting ships, making route - ANY click doing 1 FPS. all the game is lagging at every click.

this game is several years old and still not playable.
how to fix this annoying lags?

Has this always been the case for you? or it was okay up to some point?

It only happens on a large galaxy, is that right? And right from the start, or only in mid or late game play? Or only after playing for a period?

Is the problem only fps? Or also slow time passing, jerkiness in zooming or scrolling, long load times? All of those perhaps?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

In there we see the game crashing in CELib_x64.dll . Am I right in thinking that is part of a 'training' (cheat) utility? If so we need to remove that from this machine while we work on this. That might account for some of the errors in that log, which I have not seen before.

I don't see any other reason for this problem in those files. If you uninstall that cheat app and start a new test galaxy, do you still get this problem?

Yes. This is WeMod utility. It was the very first I'd checked - first I'd tried to run Stellaris without WeMod and later I'd ran it at my friend's PC (i5/16Gb/2060Super/Win10) with the same in-game problems and lags. Also the timestamps of all crushes are related to normal game quit.

I don't know how it works but is disabling it enough to make sure it is not affecting the game? Or might it have to be uninstalled entirely?

That aside I'm a little short of ideas on this one, I see nothing here to cause this to you. Is this the same computer and Stellaris installation you had previously? If so it's worth deleting the Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/ folder (aside from any valued saved games) so the recent game version can write the caches again. And unload GeForce Experience before starting the game.

First of all I'd like to thank you for you trying to help. As I said later, I'd tried to copy savegame to another PC with another OS and without WeMod utility - no luck.

I had i7-5930k/16Gb/1080 previously, but this is uprgaded PC now.

I'll try to clear those folders and unload CF Experience, but now I'm playing at DX9 mode and no Steam overlay - it gave me zero FPS boost.
