I'm playing as Germnay in my HoI2 game, and for some inexplicable reason, my framerate has dropped to obscenely low numbers (ranging from 3-5, according to FRAPS). Pausing the game stops this, but I'm really not sure why. I don't believe it's a specs issue as they far exceed the minmum (ATi x850xt pe, 3.6 ghz P4, 2 gb ram, 80 gb or so free on my c drive) and it's not backround programs (I turn off everything except MSN, which has no effect anyway - I tried it) or a drivers issue (latest installed, already tried rolling back to old catalyst versions).
I'm all out of ideas, and I would appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.
