Hello citizens of the wonderful forum!

I am a member of the Lux Invicta team, and we are a bit compromised right now. Basically, we have tried to update the mod for 2.7.1, but it still CTD's when you hit play after selecting a character. Our first "welcome to the mod" message even appears right before it crashes.

We would really welcome anyone's advice, hints, help, or donations of food :) Come help us make the BEST mod and definitely most complex one of them all work again, please?!

My best bet would be that you guys missed updating some of the .gui files. At least that's where most of my CTDs come from.

However, since you see you even manage to see some of the first events of the game, my game would rather be that some effects that are executing from on_startup/on_chronicle_start/history entry effect blocks is creating an infinite loop or stack overflow somehow. Maybe try comenting out the event calls from those places and see if that gets you past the CTD?
 
You can select a character. It will load up said character and then try to play the game - including the opening events - before crashing.

How long (timewise) does it take between the character loading and the game crashing? Run that time in LI and Vanilla and then answer the next questions.
What then is the exact sequence of calls being made when a character is booted up? What's the difference between that sequence and the vanilla sequence? If the opening events are commented out, does it still crash?
 
May I have a copy of the test file? I am not sure if you where able to identify and resolve as of yet, I could a land a hand.
 
I'd also like a test file. I'm extremely prone to breaking things and then figuring out how I broke them.

Last commit in the Github version I found was a month ago, and for some reason the download marks it as v0.06k10, where the primary download is v0.06k11.

I am currently at the GitHub site but all I am seeing are the folders and no zip file. Do I have to download them individually? I f that is the case where is the mod file then?
