So the Roman Empire suddenly collapsed upon the death of Pyrros the Rough, and I have absolutely no idea why.

They'd just transitioned to absolutist government, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Personnaly, I want to show my little run with the Komnemos, at the beginning Isidoros was just a little duke, on the order of the last Julio-argeadai... But by the blood of our holy ancestors Muawiyah we became for two century the greatest emperors in the world ! (Yeah at the first generation, I was married to a Nabatean al-shams islam princess with the blood of muawiyah, So after the majority of my descendant get greek and arabic names :D )

A little view of the basileia, and yeah I have from a long time a vassal hunnic king in Bulgaria ( at a time, the hunnic empire goes from alania to serbia )

and for some part of the world :
In Western Europe, Catholic church is dying, but the powerful arian empire have no moral authority. And at the same time, the saxon reformed the irminsulic faith and became a great threat in the forest of germany. They take down the great manichean kingdom of bavaria and the last catholic kingdoms. And the muslims have a good time in hispania.

The middle east is a wealthy land of giant empire. And only Palmyra and Kush have internal religious problems, and the filthy Galatians stayed a great threat for the romans for a long time. Until the Holy protector of Constinopolis, Aikaterine the pious, daughter of Alexandros XIII Muhammad, crushed them for the greater good.

And now some funny screenshot :D
I don't know how, but there is two ilmi muslims empire in Al-Andalus, and they seems to live peacefully for a long time. Maybe, one day, they will retake the holiest cities of the faith?

I want to know the story of this man

So... The descendants of Attila became merchant. What a strange end for them

And the stranges adventure of the Valentinian dynasty, the lost of Roma was not the end for them :

I wish I had gotten a screenshot of the actual event where he calls himself Ghengis Khan, but congrats AI. I'm really impressed.

EDIT: Even more impressive is that Ghengis Khan so far has only had a title for 17 years!

Praise be the name of the High King Ozzur the Holy of the Serkland ! High King of the Medes, Alans and Varangian, shield of the Caucasus, heir of Rurik and Cyrus ! May his reign be long and prosper !

It's take me a long time to build a powerful kingdom with the Gilan in this region, I destroy everything in the Caucasus, and then I waited a long time for a period of weakness of my rivals (Ayyarid, Parmenion, Sassanid, Al-E-Buye and galatians). I plan to change my religion and culture to something more... Eastern. Because I have many peasant and religions revolt, people here seems to not like the rule of a pagan from the north, it's always more sacrifice ! :D
My goal is to became King of King, and break my Empire in two (or three if the Basileus is weak ). If you have better name for the Empire of Pontus (I choose "Serkland" because it's how the varangian called the middle-east) i'm open to suggestion !
And here a little view of the Mediterranean Sea:

Some Interesting notes:
- The western Roman Empire is in the hand of the "De Hauteville" Norman, who were submitted like some others norman lords by the roman, but then they took the powers for themselves.
- Galatia and Isauria were fighting for a long time, but then a a vassal of the yahyanist Ayyarid invade the Galatians and they were destroyed by everyone (and when I invade Media, under the control of the Ayyarid, the warmongering vassal become mine, with the lands he took in Anatolia).
- For a moment the Sassanid and the Parmenion kingdom of Media were the two major powers in the region, zoroastrians persian were the big bad guys in the regions, but then two Kurdish kingdom rises, the Yahyanist Ayyarid and the Athari Al-E-Buye and took control of the region for a little more than 40 years. Then, when at the same time, the Ayyarid (16k) began a war with the powerful Umayyad Caliphate (10k, who inherit some land in northern arabia and control some lands in Hispania and north africa) Ozzur became ambitious in the 1150s, everything changes and I became the major power in the region. The Arya kingdom was also powerful, but more a threat for sinddhia and the Sassanid.
-Yahyanism is the dominant faith in the region from the beginning of the XIIe centuary because of some revolt in Mesopotamia and Armenia.
-The most part of Hispania is divided between many Lusitanian Kingdom of the Viriathus family.
-"Nova Persia" is a Bavarian Ahrimanic Empire (at first they get a very strange name "e-dyn [insert some numbers]" so I use console to change it to a proper name).
- The merchant republic of Taurica was a very powerful kingdom, until the invasion from one of my vassal.
- In the tarim bassin, a tribal kingdom was formed by a descendant of Attila, but he breaks some years ago.
-There were two succesful catholic crusade for Jerusalem, but they didn't last long, actually there is a catholic khazar king of Judea.

Hows Britain doing?
Britain is a mess! There is many little warlord fighting between each other. I'm just sad that like always the sarmato-briton get destroyed.
There's only two strong kingdom, Alba (hibernicist scottish) and Jorvik (Danish Pelagian). And the actual King of Jorvik is really a badass = a great warlord, possessed, disfigured and liberator of slaves

Wow very nice Platonic Islamic Empire ! Bring the words of the Prophet and the Great Plato to all the world, you can do it ! Enlighten every men and women with their teaching, and the world will know the true "Pax" !
It's kinda funny because a little time ago I tried the Fatimiyyun in Egypt ! And I kept a Platonic Islamic Argead vassal in Makedonia ! ... But I have to admit that I launched a Jihad against Alexandria

I will let this great game in 2017:
Starting as the little King of Gilan, I grow more and more with decade passing. The Oleging saw many great power rising and falling in the region, But the High King Ozzur "the Holy" of Serkland and his Daughter Arta, first Queen of King of the Eranshahr bring "peace" in Persia.
The Queen of King was the first of the Oleging to adopt the persian culture, but it was her son, Astyages II, who convert himself to the Manichean faith and bring back the faith of the light at her rightful place.

And for the rest of the world:
- The Western Roman Empire was ruled by Norman for more than a century, because the Emperor subjugated many norman warlords and they elected one of them, until a roman of the Verus Dynasty retake the crown some years ago.
- The Tarim and Kashmir kingdoms are hunnic kingdoms under the rule of Attilid kings, it was by the work of a young and ambitious adventurer many decades ago.
- Lusinatia is still pagan and ruled by the descendant of Viriato. The Kingdoms breaks times to times between different members of the dynasty. But a young king reunite the kingdom some years ago.
- The catholic, with the help of the norman roman empire, became the dominant forces in Western Europe and Italy, but are surrounded.
- Not on the map, except a light green on the south, but there is a great empire on the Swahili Coast.
- The Seleucid Kingdom is still alive. But he is surrounded by the last Yahyanist kingdom and the Almaqahi heathens.
