  • Crash report
    • A few years after I create colonies on colonial regions (either americas or australia) game peformance drops, getting slower and later, crashes, without any especific trigger.
    • If i create colonies on other areas (for example, Africa continent) i have no problem at all
    • Crash happens a few times and i cann't reproduce the error, even when playing on the same saved file.
      • What i mean is, sometimes after i create the colony, game crashes in 1555 when i open a province details. Other times, using the same saved file, it crashes in 1558 when i open CoT details
    • This crash happened even after I uninstalled the game, deleted the files, and re installed a new version
      • I used to play with starter pack, and had no crashes at all.

I thought I had seen all macOS crashes in the current eu4 version, but this one is new. The newest lines in the exception.txt are:

So it crashes in the function CTradeCompanyListItem::GetToolTip which gets called from CTradeNodeView::GetToolTip. Can you post the exception.txt and error.log from a few more crashes so that we can check if it is always crashing in that function or if the error is somewhere else and it is just random that it crashes here? If the crash is only related to trade companies, it might be that it didn't crash before, because you didn't have a DLC which enables them or you didn't have a DLC which enabled the part of trade companies which is causing the crash.

Can you easily reproduce the crash with that save or does it take a few hours of gameplay till it crashes again? The settings show that you are using a resolution of 1470x956 which is quite unusual. Maybe there is some part of eu4 which can't handle that. To test this theory could try to change to windowed mode and a resolution of 1280x720 to see if that crashes as well

It is crashing in the same function(CTradeCompanyListItem::GetToolTip). How long did it take for you to reproduce the crash? Can you try a 1280x720 resolution to see if it helps?
