I'm playing on a macbook and cannot move armies because there is no way to right click. I've tried Shift+Click, Ctrl+Click, Command+Click, and Alt+Click. Is there anyway to rightclick without physically plugging in a mouse?

What is your macbook and how is the performance? I can't play without lag on my 2010 Macbook. If you try two finger tap or click it normally will register as a single, try using a mouse.

Same problem here. 2010 macbook, CK2 runs just fine on it, though I have to ctrl-click to march my armies around. Seems to me like P'dox games don't know how to register the double finger right click. Curious why EU4 doesn't use the CK2 solution, though.

I had this problem too first time I ran EU4. Solution: go to Preferences -> Trackpad. There is an option under "one finger" called "secondary click" - it allows you to select lower left or lower right corner of the trackpad as your "right click". Note that it doesn't work by tapping, you need to physically click the trackpad in the designated corner to get the right click working.

Now if I could just fix the display problems (all sprites are solid black) and the glacial performance...

Interesting solution. I was annoyed at the idea of switching my preference for the computer itself, but while playing around in my preferences folder, I noticed that my trackpad setting was already what you suggest as the solution. So, I switched my secondary click back to the proper 'double finger' and everything works!

Now, how my computer got switched to that in the first place, I don't know. But it does look like the problem is with the OSX preferences for these players, rather than P'dox. That said, I do like using ctrl-click to order my military around.
