[Mac] The language stays in english. I can't change it.

Expected Result​

That I can't play in any language, that I want.

Actual Result​

I can just play in english, but in the game settings is written german.

Steps to reproduce​

I have very often tried to change the language with the game settings.
I restart often the game.
I deleted the game often and than I downloaded it again.
I deleted Game files and folders.
I uninstall all mods.
I looked many times in the game settings.

Description​

I have already set the language to German via the game settings, reinstalled the game several times and always deleted all the backlogged files from my computer. Even creating the GameSettings file manually was unsuccessful after several attempts. At the end all mods turned off and restarted. Unfortunately still unsuccessful.

Do other game settings changes stick, or also have this problem? If the latter, there is somethign preventing the game from writing out that setting to its file:
...\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines\gameSettings.cgs
(To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer)

Make sure cities.exe is in all the exceptions lists of your antivirus app(s).


And, you are doing this within the game, not in the launcher, is that right?

It's only this problem.
It is nothing writing -protected.
yes with the game not with the launcher I set it.

In that file, do you see localeID? If so does it say de (German) or something else?
