I noticed with some of the latest changes it's actually possible to start as a landless Magnar Sigorn Thenn as a vassal under Jon Snow. I'm not sure if this is intended or was simply a consequence of making the Magnar a county level religious title. Either way, this is actually a really cool feature and could allow for a pretty interesting start, however currently he doesn't start with any troops, or people in his court, and the forty gold he starts with isn't really enough to buy the troops you'd need to attack anything.

Giving him control of a thousand or so troops at Castle Black (the remains of the Thenn portion of the Wildling army) would allow the player to assist Jon Snow with the War for the Dawn, or take those troops for an Adventurer Conquest of the North Clans or Skagos. Another cool addition would be to have an event for him at that start date that allows him to choose to join Stannis in the war for the north with the possibility of being granted Karhold as a reward or to go off on your own.

Could you also make it so that his wildling flag is removed when he settles there. The combination of that trait, cultural difference, and religious difference can be crippling.

All you have to do to get rid of the wildling trait is convert to a different culture. You lose any wildling barracks or things like that so it's a tradeoff.

I tend not to play as him, I just make the necessary arrangements for his house to gain Karhold. That means I'm not able to change his culture myself (unless I use the console).
