Main Menu Graphic Glitch

I was and am very exited to play this game.
I preordered it from the Paradox Store and I just finished installing it. However once I open the game, it only shows the proper main menu for a split send before turning into
this horrifying pixelated green thing:

I am using the Deluxe Preorder Edition on a Mac.

Is it something wrong on my side or is this a bug? Should I reinstall the game? Are there missing assets? Is my graphics card too bad?

Can some please answer those questions?

BTW my graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB

Try to disable the Steam Overlay (by right clicking the game in the library and under properties, disable overlay).

Another possible fix what helped a lot with mobile graphic cards is to make sure that your driver uses your powerful graphic card, not a low power integrated one (like intel hd)

For me, turning off the Steam Overlay fixed the exact same issue. (Screenshot looks exactly the same as mine.)

P.S: Seems like all games Paradox-related have a problem with the overlay in Mac. But since I never use the overlay anyway... doesn't make much of a difference to me.
