Main quest broken in chapter 3, can't continu. Empress sulla quest loop

The empress sulla wife of the roman leader comes to warn you, after you meet her the discussion start, and at some point a spy is found eavesdropping and you have the option to either send your men after him or let the empress scout do it.

After this iterruption, the only available dialogue is to ask the empress to repeat what she was saying before. And after she does, you are given the same choice of chasing the spy or not, then back to her repeating what she was saying. It is a loop and i am currently completely stuck on chapter 3...

i think she also repeated something in my quest, but I could continue. Maybe only some pathes in the quest are broken.

If I got my game from gamersgate is there a way for me to get it somewhere? basically how I followed the quest was start quest > talk to the villagers > talk to girl choose option on why no why, drink wine anyway > her hear story out > send troops to scout with > ask to continue and then in that area it loops. it keeps going back to there having been a spy found.
