During my Prussian game on 1.03c , I had annexed almost all of the German minors in a war, so the conservative empire event triggered. What happened next shocked me. First I was confronted with the fact that none of the remaining German minors actually joined with me. Basically all that happened was that my color had changed. But then came the big shock. I saw that I had gone from being the second greatest power to the 126th without any of the values actually changing. For example even though according to the ledger summary I still had the second most prestige, when I clicked on the crown it said that I was 106th in prestige! How the hack does that happen? And as if to add insult to injury, this also happened to me in the military and industrial categories (both of them had fallen from great power ranking to +-100th. Somehow, I don’t think that this should be the reward that I get for successfully weathering the liberal revolution.

Okay, that was just plain weird, but also slightly screwed up. I continued playing my game. Firstly, after several days I reverted back to a constitutional democracy (what I was before the conservative empire event fired). Then, roughly two more weeks later, everything solved itself. First I received a series of messages in which all of the German minor states were annexed into Germany. Then the screwed up figures suddenly changed back to what they had been before the Conservative Empire event fired. So I guess that the event was only slightly bugged, but nonetheless, I find the fact that nothing happens for two and a half weeks very odd.

Dispose of the patch!

You see, your problem lies in the patch, not the actual game. I still use version 1.0, and I experiance little, if any issues. My Prussian game turned out fine, and I acquired most of the German minors via the historical event. In fact, I dominated the vast majority of Europe and the Middle East. If you want my advice, stay with the original version; realism is the enemy!

The game takes a couple minutes to trigger the events sometimes. I think that if you had left it paused for a while they would have triggered.

The thing with the rankings is just that when a country is newly created, it appears in the lowest ranking. The game reevaluates the country ranking at the begining of each month.

Neither of these issues are really problems.

the minors dont automatically join immediatley on the event, they join some days or weeks later. also what was said above about a new country tag, it kills your rankings until you have gone into the next month and there is a history on the tag to draw the rankings off of.

Thank you very much. I suppose that this was much ado about nothing, but I was still very annoyed about it.

And comrade commissar Adams, realism can be your friend. It keeps things like Belgium or the Netherlands from conquering all of Europe.
