Major lag in multiplayer version 5.02

1. Running on PlayStation 4 Pro
2. Version 5.02
3. All DLC installed except expansion pass 5
4. Immediately after installing patch 5.02
5. Occurrence is constant in multiplayer

Experiencing extreme lag in multilayer despite not having issues on earlier version.

No, only tried a save from the previous version…might be it….but we (me and my friend in multiplayer) were so close to taking over everything…!

try a new save and see if the issue persists


general rule of thumb is new update means new save, as Paradox can't guarantee nonsense/shenanigans from occurring with old save data in a new update

I've also just experienced an identical issue, just after installing the latest patch:

1) PS4 pro
2) Version 5.02
3) All DLC except Megacorp, lithoids, nemesis and distant stars
4) Tried singleplayer only so far

Ps4 makes a clicking sounds when game is running (in game, not paused). On an old save, game lags about once every 2 seconds when not paused, making it unplayable. When paused, no lag. Can record a video, if helpful.

Just started a new save, occurance more rare but still there (once every 30 seconds or so). This never happened once on the previous version, I also don't remember the clicking sound.

Any chance for a version rollback whilst that's getting looked at?

unlikely

due to how consoles handle updates to games, pretty much that old version of the game doesn't exist anymore as it was replaced with the new version
