Making EU II run in widescreen

Just bought a new laptop and it's a widescreen one, so is there any way to get EU II to work fully in widescreen, e.g. not stretched or with borders? I only ask as there seem to be patches for some other games, and I really want to be able to annex France on my way to work! Thanks.

No, there's nothing I can do other than to either stretch it or put borders in. It's a pity because I think EU II would really benefit from a wider screen resolution.

I will take it under advisement for making the suggestion to start supporting widescreen for future Paradox releases, but for the ones already out I doubt it will happen.
