Manual patch installation for GG version

I've moved my CKII folder on to the desktop (to make modding easier), and now the patch installer doesn't detect the game. Is there a version that will let me lead the patch installer to the proper folder? I suppose I could also temporarily move the folder back, but still, I'd like to be able to leave it in place. ;-;

A version of the patch installer? You'd have to ask GG, they wrote it.

But it's most likely they are reading your CK2 location from the registry. You could run up regedit and search for "crusader kings". you may find a key that points to the installation location. Try changing that (do back up your registry first).
