I am so lucky to see this like an hour after it was posted. I made a very basic 1:1 london map for testing. And there was such a coincidence as a few months ago i had made a 1:4 greater london map (as that is the largest size i could include the whole of the m25 in the 14.25km base game map). I imported the 1:4 london height map, and MAGICALLY it had become a 1:1 greater london map. all. acurately. displayed. It is incredible. Im sure theres many bugs, ive not found it yet. I will try and experiment and use your 229km map size now, still untested as of yet.

Thanks for your testing! I suggest being very careful with the highly experimental version of 229km, especially since there's only the BepInEx framework version available right now. If you forget to delete different versions, it won't work.

Thanks for the mod! It sounds awesome.
Before I test it out, I wanted to ask if this mod removes the size limitations of the height map import.
The game supports 4096x4096, but that seems too small to create maps of this size. Is it something that you've looked into?

Please update your units. It's not correct to say that 57 km by 57 km is 57 km^2, it's actually 3249 km^2 (in fact it should be 57.344^2 which is 3288.334 km^2). Same for 229. Just say 57km, do not add the ^2, it's a square, we only need to know the side length, and it's the dimension we care about anyway.

It seems to work on a flat map.

On sloped terrain though I get quite some blue mantle at the seam of roads or train tracks, they don't sufficiently integrate with the terrain. Also saw voids under roads and even some shark teeth biting into the side of a road.

Road retention walls integrate well with the terrain, but that's of limited use as they prevent zoning. Might be sufficient for flat maps as the walls allow avoiding earth ramps or dams when elevating roads and train tracks.

I am using this on a flatsh map that has a river. The water is complex, and you cant place water outside the original playable area. but this is one of the coolest mods to date. The game should have been playable like this from day one. very nice work and thank you

You're absolutely right, I’ve fixed it :)

water should be able to be placed within 57km, if you are using the Water Feature, the author will update soon, and before that you can use the game editor's water tool. if not, please send me the log file.

uh oh. someone beat algernon to market.
I'd love them 2, and anyone else, to rather cooperate and create a few versions of such a mod - or 1 with multiple options.
That would possibly be easier to fix if any problems arise and one of the creators is a bit busy with life issues (if that happens).

Other than that... I gather it's a mod for creating larger maps, right? Or larger playable areas on the same size (world) maps?

This is CRAZY!!! I love it. So now we all need the new light CPU's (Fiber optic CPU's uses Fiber optics instead of electricity. NO heat! and no SH t! A company called Light Matter) to come out so we can have Computers that can handle this game and these maps lol.

Thank you
I have bought CS2 since it was out but didn't play too much because of the very limited map area and I was waiting for this kind of mod to emerge, so now, I know I can build something and grow it long-term :D
Thank you!

The logs show that the mod loaded normally, usually it's because of a mod conflict or not enough VRAM.
Have you been using a lot of asset mods (including the official asset pack)? What's the size of VRAM of video card?
I suggest creating a NEW CLEAN playerset and putting in just the essential functional code mods. If everything works fine, you can gradually add the asset mods until find the confict.

Should I remove "529 tiles" before adding this mod?

Greetings, excellent work this. :)

No need to remove at all, the 529 works perfectly.
