Brief History:
The second African Colony established, this colony trade thrived while the Benin colony floundered. Developing much like Siam and the Spice Islands, the capital of St James became an important and flourishing trade post. The colony grew, until it peacefully seceded in 1854, and a Merchant Republic was formed. It became the center of trade in the South African region. However with trade came evil. In 1956 a ship came in carrying a deadly disease. The plague killed hundreds of thousands, and it crippled St. James as a city and as a country tremendously. The disease has ended and St. James has recovered after a long struggle, though much less wealthy and powerful than it was.
