This started to be a problem with the Snowfall DLC Winter map but I've also recently tried it on a temperate map and the problem still persists.

By "map" I assume you mean a saved game file?

Please gather both these two informational files, and attach them here:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities Skylines\Cities Data\output_log.txt

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Are you using any mods? A lot of mods were not made for the asset editor and do not work correctly.

Do you see the map files in the following folder?
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Maps

Yep, after second or third time, went to check out what was happening and the map I created before turning off the computer had disappeared (through the files). Not any history of it. I have gotten the map uploaded on steam finally but I didn't turn off the computer for three days while I worked on it. Scared to lose progress but yeah.

Are you shutting the computer down through the Start menu or using the power button to turn it off? Do you have any other files that disappear or only the maps created in Cities: Skylines? If you make a test save does that also disappear or only maps?

I shut it down by pressing the power button. And yes, this only happening to maps, not any game saves, cause I've always done this and I guess the recent update has done something. Well, the update I've listed.

Don't wanna be that guy, and it most likely doesn't solve the issue, but try it the regular way and shut down the PC via Start > Shut Down.

As UltimateTobi suggests, please try shutting the PC down through the Shut Down option in the Start menu. The map files disappearing indicates that they get corrupted and are deleted by Windows. Using the Shut Down option instead of pressing the power button ensures that Windows shuts down properly.
