Marriage glitch?

I noticed when I tried to break a royal marriage with Sweden (who was Protestant) and I was Catholic Austria, the screen would just flicker, and the marriage would still be in affect. Running win98se, PIV 1.3ghz, 256mb PC800 Rambus, 32mb Geforce. Ver 1.08, North American. Anyone one else seeing this? It is after the last treaty (tolerance?) in late 1680's.

There is a bug in the "Break royal marriage" option.

When I press it nothing happens. I can hover on the option and it gives me the - causus belli thing and something on stability - text, but when I press the option still nothing happens.

My version is the Scandinavian (DK,S,N) with the new 1.08 patch.

The Royal Marriage bug was introduced with the 1.08 patch. RMs don't seem to break under any circumstances. When changing religions, it is supposed to be broken (and says that it was in the game log), but still exists in Diplomacy. Once it expires, and your religion is still different, you cannot renew it -- like it should be.
