In my actual game I managed to press a claim for one of the children of my playing character; when the boy reaches the age of fourteen, the AI immediately marries him to one of the ladies in the realm, but it seems it "jumps" the betrothal part, going directly to the marriage itself.
I tried to switch characters and when I play, the game responds properly using the betrothal option (avoiding marriage), but if I take again the precedent character (the father of the boy), a moment later the AI marries again him to a minor if not betrothed.
It's a bug or it's supposed to work that way?

I feel that this is a bit unrealistic. Yes, it was possible but not commonly done, especially for men. I think it would be better if they can put the marriage age back to 16, but make a decision where the marriage might be expedited. The Ai might take this occasionally, but it shouldn't be an everyday occurrence.

It was totally an everyday occurrence both in real life and in book lore at least amongst the nobility.

It did happen, but most marriages were not entered into at 14, especially for men. I find it unrealistic that the AI almost always marries their kid off exactly on the day they turn 14.

Exactly the day they turn 16 would surely be equally unrealistic. It's just the way the game handles betrothals, they will turn it into a marriage at the first opportunity.
